How to submit:

All entries must be submitted from an Org, The two relevant requirements are that (a) the entry must be Org-based, and (b) the entry must be submitted to the state thru the student’s school. The minimum involvement the school absolutely needs to have is for a teacher to winnow down its entries to no more than 5 and submit the school entry form to the state.

What are the options for a student to have access to an Org login?
The student’s school has an Org, which is available for free to any US K12 school (including public, non-public, charter, magnet, Montessori, home school; http://www.esri.com/connected#school; see also Map#1 of http://esriurl.com/usk12gis)
The student is part of a club with an Org (http://www.esri.com/connected#school)
The student’s parents/teacher help the student sign up for a free “Developer” account (http://developers.arcgis.com)
A local GeoMentor sets up a 60-day trial Org in which the student is provided a login (http://www.esri.com/software/arcgis/free-trial)
The state Geography Alliance has an Org, and the student works with the Alliance to get a login. (This is most likely the best option for most entries!) Contact: lkeysmathews@una.edu or tlnunnelley@una.edu.
